Our programs are designed for children ages 0–12, with specific classes grouped by age to keep play safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate.

Ability 2 Play programs are designed to support all children — whether they have developmental delays, are neurodivergent, or are typically developing. Our small-group classes are designed by licensed pediatric therapists and focus on building foundational skills like motor development, social interaction, confidence, emotional regulation, and body awareness in a fun, supportive environment.

We serve families in Garner, Clayton, Fuquay-Varina, Knightdale, Cary, Raleigh, and surrounding areas. We are located at 160 Annaron Ct, Raleigh, NC 27603, which is right on the border of Raleigh/Garner/Fuquay.

For structured classes, each participating child must be registered. For Open Play, sibling policies may vary depending on the session — please check the event details or contact us with questions.

Children do not need to be fully potty trained to participate. We simply ask that parents remain present and assist with bathroom needs as needed. If not fully potty trained, please have your child wear pull-ups to their session.

Comfortable clothes for movement, water, and anything your child may need to feel comfortable. Grip socks may be required depending on the activity.

Yes. Adult supervision is required for Open Play, and caregivers remain on-site for classes unless otherwise noted.

Open Play is a sensory-friendly, structured free-play session where children can explore climbing equipment, obstacle courses, sensory stations, and imaginative play areas in a supportive environment.

We aim to keep our space welcoming and manageable. While it’s active and fun, we intentionally limit group size to maintain a comfortable, sensory-aware atmosphere.

It’s guided free play. Children can explore independently, but our team helps facilitate transitions, turn-taking, and gentle structure throughout the session.

We offer small-group, OT-informed classes that focus on movement, sensory exploration, confidence-building, and peer interaction. Examples include music & movement, ninja-style obstacle courses, sensory stations, and guided social play.

Yes. We intentionally keep groups small to support safety, connection, and a positive experience for every child.

Ability 2 Play is play-based programming designed by occupational therapists. It’s not a replacement for formal therapy, but it’s a great option for families who want structured, sensory-friendly play and skill-building in a fun setting.

Yes. Ability 2 Play was created by Abil-OT Kids Therapy, which provides pediatric OT, PT, and speech services across Raleigh, Garner, Clayton, and Smithfield.

Ability 2 Play programs are private pay. There are no referrals, insurance approvals, or visit limits required.
